Organized by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the IHF serves as a central meeting point for the hospitality industry, bringing together international tourism brands, top professionals, Greek and foreign experts, distinguished academics and tourism entrepreneurs. The forum is powered this year by Questex, organizers of the R&R conference, and is titled “Greek Hotels: the day after” and will take place on Saturday, February 10, at 10:30 am at the Metropolitan Expo Center (Conference Hall C1) on the sidelines of the HORECA 2024 hotel exhibition. Organized annually in Athens since 2017 with a focus on crucial issues involving the hotel industry, the chamber’s forum this year will host the following two discussion panels: – “Opportunities and Risks in the Era of Branding, Management, and Franchise”, which will explore the evolving and challenging realities in the hotel industry. Panellists include Frank Reul | VP – Development Accor Premium, Midscale & Economy brands – Eastern Europe, Balkans, Italy & Greece, Accor; Will Dowling | SVP Development – Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia, Virgin Hotels; and Nikos Karaflos | Owner & General Manager of Dexamenes Beach Resort. – “Generational Change and Wealth Management”, which will examine the challenges arising as the Greek tourism industry matures and undergoes a generational shift, with management passing from the original founders to the second and third generations. Speakers will include Theodore Tzouros | Executive General Manager, Chief of Corporate & Investment Banking, Piraeus Bank S.A.; Eftichia Kasselaki | Partner & Consulting Services EY, People Consulting, Head of EY Private; and Panos Paleologos | President & Founder of HotelBrain Group. The 7th IHF will also include an executive interview with Thanos Papasavvas, CFA Founder & CIO, ABP Invest, on “Adapting to Economic Shifts: Strategies for Success”. The 7th International Hospitality Forum (IHF) will be moderated by Greek Travel Pages (GTP) CEO Maria Theofanopoulou. More information on the event can be found here.
