Athens, Zakynthos, Mykonos, Heraklion and Corfu are among the top destinations for travelers using Skyscanner, a report released by the company found this week. More specifically, according to Skyscanner’s Horizons Regional Travel Outlook 2024 which assesses Travel Insight data, Athens is ranked 5th in the Top 10 destinations of choice by Asian travelers marking the largest increase in trip length up by 11 days compared to a year before with an average trip length of 15.2 days. Indicatively, 13 percent are booking 60 to 89 days ahead of travel while 37 percent are planning up to 90 days prior to travel. Traditional seasonality is also making a comeback. At the same time, due to inflationary pressures and the cost of living crisis, travelers are shortening their vacations or traveling closer to home.
