Photo © Greek Travel Pages (GTP) Greek travel agents were updated on the latest developments at China Southern Airlines during a recent networking event held in Athens, organized by the airline’s GSA (general sales agent) in Greece, APG Hellas. China Southern Airlines, Asia’s largest airline, boasts a modern fleet of over 890 aircraft, including models such as the A350, A330, A320, B787, B777, B737, EMB190, and ARJ21. The fleet is continually upgraded to ensure safe flights and comprehensive services for passengers, reflecting the airline’s consistent growth and progress. “As China’s premier airline, it stands out for its top-quality service and responsible environmental and social approach,” said APG Hellas Marketing & Sales Manager George Panagiotakis while giving a presentation to Greek travel agents. Highlighting the airline’s achievements in 2023, Panagiotakis noted that China Southern Airlines safely conducted 600,000 flights last year, accumulating 1.56 million hours of safe flight time. The airline has maintained aviation safety for 343 consecutive months and aviation security for 278 consecutive months. In 2023, China Southern Group, the parent company of China Southern Airlines, upheld the best safety record in China’s civil aviation industry. Additionally, for eight consecutive years, China Southern Group has led in flight punctuality rate and various service indicators. “The overall satisfaction of China Southern Airlines’ passengers increased by 5.9 percent year on year,” Panagiotakis added. China Southern Airlines operates an extensive international network, serving 51 destinations with 101 routes across North America, Oceania, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Japan, Korea, Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Within China, the airline’s domestic network covers 167 destinations with 630 routes.
