During a recent presentation in Athens, travel agents and Greek media were introduced to Moldova, a country rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. The presentation highlighted Moldova as a destination offering visitors a range of unique experiences. “Describing Moldova to those who have not visited is like explaining the taste of good wine in words… You have to come and savor the flavor of my country – the Republic of Moldova,” said Andrei Popov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Greece, in his welcoming address. Over 90 percent of Greeks have not yet been to Moldova, but we are gradually aiming to change that through this initiative, with Marios Travel playing a leading role,” Popov said, highlighting his goal of establishing broader cooperation with the Greek travel market. “We recently had a successful meeting with Alexandros Vassilikos, the president of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, where we discussed potential collaboration,” he added. During the event, Marios Travel Destination Manager Kostas Moschidis delivered a comprehensive presentation on Moldova, covering its history and top attractions. “A trip to Moldova is a refreshingly unique European getaway, and visiting a country that very few people know about is the most rewarding experience,” Moschidis said.
