APG Hellas, one of the leading airline GSA (general sales agent) and representation companies in Greece, recently informed Greek travel agents on the benefits of the APG Platform.

APG Hellas is one of the founding members of the APG Network, which today is the largest airline representative network in the world with more than 100 offices and a physical presence in over 170 countries.

Apart from its traditional activity as a GSA in the Greek market, APG Hellas also promotes the new air product distribution system based on the New Distribution Channel (NDC) technology, the APG Platform.

As part of this promotion, APG Hellas organized a special event in Athens during which Karina Valeeva from APG headquarters in France gave a live presentation of the platform and its benefits to representatives of Greek travel agencies.

“The APG Platform is an online ticketing platform which assists travel agents to generate additional revenue by enlarging their catalogue and by selling air and non air ancillaries combined,” Valeeva said during her presentation.

The platform is connected to the NDC bases of APG’s partner airlines under the newest XML technology and follows all IATA standards.

One of the main benefits for travel agencies is that the platform offers them the possibility to make reservations and issue air tickets at significantly lower prices than those found in traditional reservation systems.

At the same time, travel agents do not need to enter each airline’s platform separately because the APG NDC platform filters all the companies that have connected and presents all the results together, saving valuable time.

Today, the APG Platform offers flight options for 28 airlines including Aegean, Air France, KLM, American Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, Pegasus, Finnair, Iberia, Air Arabia, TAP, Vueling, etc.

The APG Platform is promoted and supported in over 150 countries by the APG Network.
