The new luxury 5-star The Athenaeum hotel in Athens celebrated its grand opening on Wednesday, welcoming guests from the Greek travel industry, media representatives, partners, and renowned artists whose work adorns the hotel’s spaces.

Part of the Athenaeum Hotels Group, The Athenaeum is ideally situated at the intersection of Vouliagmenis and Kalliroi avenues, offering both convenience and style. The six-story hotel features 52 spacious rooms and suites, each uniquely designed to embody a refined aesthetic, catering to both leisure and business travelers who appreciate understated luxury.

A highlight of the hotel is the Pasithea rooftop restaurant on the sixth floor, where guests can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine crafted by Chef Vagelis Nikas. The restaurant also features captivating artwork by the artist Sake and boasts panoramic views of iconic landmarks, including the Acropolis, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and Lycabettus Hill.

During the opening event, Athenaeum Hotels Group General Manager Christos Koutsopoulos expressed pride in the hotel’s rapid success. “In just four months of operation, The Athenaeum has earned the trust of Athens’ visitors and established itself as one of the city’s top hotels in terms of guest satisfaction, according to reviews,” he said.
