The announcement was made at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 expo in London. EasyJet, one of the largest carriers from the UK to Greece, currently operates 136 routes to 14 popular Greek destinations, including Kos, Corfu, Crete, and Rhodes. Under the agreement, the airline’s in-house tour operator – EasyJet holidays – will promote Greek destinations through an expanded online and offline marketing campaign, supported by the Greek Tourism Ministry. The GNTO will also provide access to promotional materials and resources for campaigns that highlight Greece’s diverse travel experiences. This agreement extends until 2028. “The memorandum of understanding with EasyJet and EasyJet holidays underscores Greece’s commitment to forging impactful partnerships with organizations that share our ethos and forward-looking vision,” noted Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni on the collaboration’s significance. “This strategic plan aims to deepen collaboration, enhance mutual growth, and drive sustainable development in tourism.” Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and EasyJet holidays CEO Garry Wilson (center) after the announcement of the agreement during the WTM London 2024 Expo in London.
