Feedback was gathered during the Halkidiki Tourism Organization’s (HTO) participation in the recent 2024 WTM London exhibition, aimed at positioning the destination on the international tourism map. Greece’s role as Premier Partner of the 2024 fair created an ideal platform to promote Halkidiki as a premium travel destination for 2025, highlighting a diverse range of vacation options with activities to suit every type of traveler. In response to high demand, the airline will increase flights to Halkidiki from 11 to 12 per week, with direct flights beginning earlier on April 5, 2025. Furthermore, a new direct route from East Midlands is set to launch in 2026. Strengthening this positive trend, English travelers booking holidays in Halkidiki through TUI Group have increased by 5 percent, showing a preference for sustainable hotels that highlight local culture. HTO officials highlighted that this elevates Halkidiki as a leading destination for the UK market.
