Hospitality Greek Hotel Chamber Marks 90th Anniversary with ‘Hospitality with Value for All’ Initiative by Nikos Krinis 15 January 2025 written by Nikos Krinis 15 January 2025 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 27 The Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) is celebrating a significant milestone in 2025, marking 90 years since its establishment as an advisor to the Greek State on tourism matters. Over the decades, the chamber has been instrumental in shaping Greece’s tourism landscape and supporting its development into a key economic sector. To commemorate this anniversary, HCH President Alexandros Vassilikos on Wednesday announced the launch of the “Hospitality with Value for All” initiative. The year-long campaign, which will run throughout 2025, aims to emphasize the critical role Greek hospitality plays in fostering the country’s economic, social, and cultural growth. “We are honoring the 90th anniversary of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels with an initiative that connects the history we have built with the promising future we envision. It is our responsibility to lay the foundations for the next 90 years,” Vassilikos said while presenting the initiative to Greek journalists. The “Hospitality with Value for All” initiative will focus on four key pillars: – The contribution of hospitality to economic development and social cohesion. – The promotion of inclusive values and the principles of an open society. – The role of hospitality in supporting sustainability, a critical challenge of our time. – Strengthening employment, as hospitality remains the largest private-sector employer in Greece. As part of this initiative, the chamber will host two conferences and two workshops across various regions of Greece, centered around these four thematic areas. Additionally, the campaign will include the production of a TV spot highlighting the value of hospitality, as well as the creation of an album featuring perspectives from political leaders and stakeholders in the tourism sector. Informational brochures will also be published to further support the initiative. “In order to meet the challenges of the new Greece in the coming century, we must uphold our strengths and address our weaknesses,” Vassilikos highlighted. “We have achieved much as a country and a people. Now, it is crucial to focus on the areas where we have proven success — where hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit thrive. This is where our country excels and emerges as a leader. This is Hospitality. Hospitality with Value for All. Hospitality that is Greece.” Join the 15,000+ travel executives who read our newsletter Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
