The 18th International Marathon Alexander the Great – bwin will take place on April 21, 2024 at the coastal avenue of Thessaloniki.
The event is under the organization of M.E.A.S. TRITON in cooperation with the Municipality of Thessaloniki, under the auspices of SEGAS, AIMS and with kind support of Greek National Tourism Organization.
The 18th International Marathon Alexander the Great – bwin will be the ultimate running experience, which is expected to welcome thousands of runners of all ages and levels, families, runner groups and runners with disabilities from our country and abroad and to offer them unique moments and new personal records on Sunday 21 April 2024.
The race program of the 18th International Marathon Alexander the Great – bwin is as follows: Time 07:30: Marathon start from the statue of Alexander the Great in the square of Pella. Time 08:30: Start of the 1.000m Race for Primary School Students from Aristotelous Square. Time 08:30: Start of the 10,000m Health and Dynamic Walking Race from the Municipal Stadium of Ampelokipi. Time 12:30: Start of the 5,000m Health and Dynamic Walking Race from the Thessaloniki City Hall. Common Finish of all the Roads of the race program at the height of the square of the statue of Alexander the Great on the beach of Thessaloniki.
At the same time, for another year, a number of events have been planned for children and their families. The Primary School Students’ Road, the programme of educational games and creative activities, the festival of traditional dances for primary school students, the children’s chess championship, as well as a programme of tours and guided tours, will make the 18th International Marathon Alexander the Great – bwin an ideal tourist sporting destination for the whole family, both from Greece and abroad.
The deadline for completion of group entries is Friday 22 March 2024, while the deadline for individual registrations is Wednesday 27 March 2024.
