The season-opening, fourth annual Messinia Pro-Am, returns to Costa Navarino, 19-22 February 2020, attracting interest worldwide.
The tournament is attended by professional and amateur golfers from all over the world who will enjoy three days of competitive golfing on the award winning The Dunes Course and The Bay Course. The Dunes Course was designed by two-time US Masters Champion Bernhard Langer in association with European Golf Design, while The Bay Course was designed by the American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr.
The pre-event calendar begins on Sunday 16 February 2020, when the Westin Resort Costa Navarino will welcome guests, who will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the stunning landscape with spectacular sea views.
On Monday 17 February and Tuesday 18 February, participants can join the optional Practice Days on The Dunes Course or The Bay Course from 08:00 to 18:00 and get a feel for the state of play on the two courses.
On Wednesday 19 February, the official Practice Day at The Dunes Course or The Bay Course from 08:00 to 18:00 gives players the chance to test their strokes on the two acclaimed courses.
Registration is open to Teams from 09:00 to 20:00 at the entrance of the House of Events at The Westin Resort Costa Navarino.
The Messinia Pro-Am gets into full swing on Thursday 20 February from 08:00 to 18:00 with Round 1 (18 holes) at The Dunes Course and The Bay Course. The tournament continues on Friday 21 February with Round 2 (18 holes) of the competition from 08:00 to 18:00. A charity bowling game will take place in the evening, in support of the SOS Children’s Villages Greece.
On Saturday 22 February, the final competition round of the Messinia Pro-Am will take place with Round 3 (18 holes) from 08:00 to 18:00 at The Dunes Course and The Bay Course.
The Messinia Pro-Am has been sanctioned by the Confederation of Professional Golf [CPG] under the auspices of the PGA of Greece and the Hellenic Golf Federation since 2017 and last year enjoyed the participation of 31 teams comprised of 124 players from 20 countries.
