The Blue Cup is a passage race, that takes place annually in the Argo-Saronic Gulf and visits Epidavros, Methana, Poros, Hydra, Ermioni, Spetses & Porto Heli. It starts always the last weekend of October and ends on the first weekend of November. The duration is 7 days and includes 4 racing days and 3 days of free sailing. Every evening, a skippers meeting takes place and the prizes of the day are awarded.
Approximately forty yachts participate every year in the Blue Cup. They have the support of a 24 persons staff, including: Race Committee, Protesting Committee, Technical support team (engineer, electrician, sail maker) who assist participants during the mooring and solve any issues that might appear.
The ever-growing spirit of the Blue Cup race is the mixture of competition and sportsmanship with cocktails, dancing and partying at every port of call. Every place visited has a special welcome for the participants with receptions, parties and prizes for each day’s racing. The highlight is the Grand Prize-Giving Ceremony, with dinner and dancing at the last port of call, Porto Heli.
The 34th Blue Cup will take place from November 1 to November 8, 2025.
