Under the proposal, ships will depart from Thessaloniki for Samos, Kusadasi and then Rhodes. Minoan Lines, NEL and Superfast Ferries have also indicated interest in links with Turkish ports. Additionally, they also looked at the prospects for increasing tourist traffic between the two countries, particularly Turkish visitors to Greece, with the emphasis being on hotels and cruises.
