GA Ferries has enlarged its fleet of ferries through the recent acquisition of three new, modern vessels. The first of the new high-speed vessels, the Milenaki, will take on Cycladic routes this May.

Built five years ago in Norway, it measures 95 meters in length and has a passenger capacity of 900 and can carry up to 180 vehicles.

The Anthi-Marina, which will sail the Dodecanese as of May, was built in Finland, has a length of 160 meters and can transport 2,000 passengers and 100 trucks. The third vessel, which has been ordered, will have similar specifications and also operate in the Dodecanese, starting in February 2002.

GA Ferries is in the final stages of the procedure for listing on the Athens stock exchange.
