Promoted as the largest such leisure park, not only in Greece but also in all of Europe, the 40-billion-drachma venture sports 20 cinema screens, 45 stores, restaurants and cafes. Village Entertainment Park’s buildings cover 36,000 square meters and its outdoor areas are spread over 14,000 square meters. The park can cater to 50,000 guests at a time and it is equipped to host individuals with special needs. Parking is available for some 1,800 vehicles. The 20 theaters boast the latest in design and technology. Among the cinema’s features are digital sound, wall to wall screens, stadium seating and loveseats (two seats that can become one). Haris Antonopoulos, managing director for Roadshow in Greece, the Balkans and the Middle East, says the company’s immediate aims are for further, immediate expansion of the chain throughout Greece with the focus being on family entertainment and the cinema.
