Culture Extended Hours for Greek Museums and Sites by GTP editing team 1 June 2000 written by GTP editing team 1 June 2000 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 12 The Greek Culture Ministry last month announced extended visiting for the country’s main museums, archaeological sites and national monuments. Opening hours for visitors from May 10 until June 30 are from 0800 to 1900 hours daily, except Mondays for some (Acropolis, Olympia, Delphi museums), which open at 1200 hours. “The above decision has a temporary character,” says the ministry, and adds that it will soon release another announcement regarding summer hour openings. As the ministry’s Internet site (www.culture.gr) lists the same extended hours for the summer period, it would be best to check before making arrangements. The responsible parties at the ministry can be contacted by telephone at 820-1272 or by fax at 820-1260.The ministry’s email address is w3admin@culture.gr.
