Key Tourism Figures Spyros Ginis by GTP editing team 1 November 2000 written by GTP editing team 1 November 2000 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 10 President, Greek Union of Air Travel Agencies Philoxenia 2000 greeting. It is a pleasure to congratulate Greek Travel Pages, which enters the new millennium after a quarter of a century since first being published by Markos Alvanopoulos. Through GTP, with the valuable data and information it contributes to help us in our work, I wish to salute the 16th Philoxenia. I would also like to stress to every responsible party that there is no greater disappointment for the pioneers of Greek tourism – the travel agents – than the efforts of administration to block travel offices from modernization, incentives and any other support available from the EU’s third framework support package. The consequences to the prime product of our country, tourism, will be immediate and dangerous if authorities do not quickly agree to cover this intensive need, and their obligation to the tourism and travel sector. Heartfelt wishes for 100 years of Greek Travel Pages. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
