The marina, which can berth up to 500 yachts, includes some 72 stremma of property that hosts a marine control tower, shipping club, stores, a hotel and a ship repair unit. A consortium of engineering contractors that include ATE Gnomon, Archimedes, GEKAT and Kyriakoulis built the marina complex. Local authorities are to receive an index-linked lease of 180 million drachmas a year from the operator, Lefkas Marina SA, plus 13 percent of total revenue.
