The Alexandroupoli area in the East Macedonia and Thrace region is about to get its first professional congress center. The unit, being constructed by the Alexander Beach Hotel, opens in the spring and will host up to 1,280 delegates in four halls. The biggest of the four, Alexander Hall, seats 600 delegates.

Unique for the entire area, and the only such professional center in the whole Evros Prefecture, the congress complex meets all the requirements and criteria set by the Hellenic Tourism Organization. It will boast simultaneous translation in eight languages, breakout rooms, exhibition areas and a support secretariat, just to name a few.

Added to this is the complete renovation of the hotel’s rooms and the opening of the unit’s new “executive” wing, which is classed as an “expert building.” All rooms here are powered by a new energy system that’s a first for Greece. Each room is equipped with the latest in technology, such as full Internet access and an electronic climatic control system, and all the perks found in deluxe five-star units.

Alexander Beach Hotel and Convention Center says it will be fully operational this coming May and will be ready to host everything from seminars to incentive groups to major conferences.
