Opinions The Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourism Agents by GTP editing team 1 December 2001 written by GTP editing team 1 December 2001 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 10 The oldest travel agent association in the world HATTA, the oldest travel association in the world, this month celebrates its 75th anniversary. The association has played a pivotal role in the life of Greece’s tourism development throughout its entire history. To celebrate, the association will hold a major reception at the Divani Caravel on November 30, in conjunction with the congress being held from November 29 to December 1 by ECTAA, which is the group of national agents and tour operators’ associations within the European Union. The local association considers this event very appropriate as a tie in for its 75th anniversary celebrations. HATTA has been an ECTAA member for more than two decades. During the planned reception, HATTA will honor personalities that have, through concerted efforts, promoted Greek tourism. For our part, we would like to dedicate this page to the many travel professionals that have spent much of their precious free time and unselfish efforts to advance tourism to Greece. We wish the historic association and its members continued success in promoting Greek tourism.
