The latest publication by Hellenic Tourism Organization Research and Investment Director Betty Hadjinikolaou could be a godsend for tourism professionals as it’s the first time Greece’s various tourism legislation acts are collated in a single book. Up until now, it was next to impossible for a tourism enterprise to know what exactly is valid regarding legislation, obligations and rights. This new publication, entitled “Lodging and Other Tourism Installations Law,” includes all existing tourism laws and covers the operation of all tourism lodging units and accommodation-related categories, such as food and beverage, special tourism installations (conferences, spas, golf, etc.), and timesharing. Ms. Hadjinikolaou, who has been with the tourism organization for the past 30 years, said she has arranged with her publisher to complete another two books within the near future. One will focus on legislation, obligations and rights of Greek travel agents, tour operators, rental car agencies, guides, etc. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
