Poseidon Resort Joins International Groups

Loutraki’s Poseidon Resort is now a member of Premier Hotels and Resorts and of The Charming Hotels of the World. The international recognition comes as a result of a major investment in upgrading both the unit’s services and amenities.

The company began its four-year refurbishment program in 2001 and will complete the 6-million-euro project in the spring of next year. The first phase of the project, completed last year, included the addition of luxury VIP suites, superior suites and a penthouse suite complete with a private indoor and outdoor swimming pool. It also took in the full renovation of the complex’s bungalows and its restaurant facilities.

This year, Poseidon plans to complete renovations on 40 bungalows, to create a fourth swimming pool and to expand its fitness center, which will include a health spa. During the slow winter period of 2003-2004, the complex plans to complete the upgrading of the last group of rooms and to fully renovate its reception and lobby areas.
