Company updates Solid Soft Banks On Expansion by GTP editing team 1 March 2003 written by GTP editing team 1 March 2003 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Solid Soft International is no stranger at most Greek travel trade fairs. Greece’s top back-office software provider for Greek travel agents, Solid Soft International, recently launched a series of expansion moves. These initiatives could place the company within an enviable position in the years to come. So far, besides the launch of new products — payroll and accounting software for big companies – Solid now offers additional services that include web design and hosting, and a program that handles secretarial support for conferences (monitoring cards, printing of badges, support documents, accounting transactions, etc.). To promote its many new products, the company appointed two well-known and well-experienced specialists to cover Greek and international markets. Robert Gatt, Solid’s business development manager for Europe and the Middle East comes to the company with 14 years experience in the global distribution systems field. Nikos Spyridakis, Solid’s sales manager, has more than 25 years experience in travel office methods and IATA‘s Bank Settlement Plan. Mr. Gatt says Solid’s unique back office program, which cost about one-half million euros to develop, not only picked up clients in Greece but also in Jordan, Romania and Hungary. The software, in English and Greek, makes life easier for agents as it’s user-friendly and substantially cuts time and costs from any size travel operation, says Mr. Gatt. As well, he says, this program solves BSP problems, prints up-to-the-minute reports and statistics for each segment of travel agency paper work. “It even tells you how much your stationery costs are.” Because this product is so versatile, says Mr. Gatt, and because of continual expansion activities, we expect that by the end of this year we will have more than quadrupled the number of clients that use our back office software. “The program handles sales of tickets and services, is completely compatible with all global distributions systems as well as BSP, allows for the compilation of statistics, and offers immediate updates of the accounting system,” explains Mr. Gatt. He adds that Solid Soft International’s back office system was developed in cooperation with some of the biggest travel offices in Greece so as to ensure positive results. “We are also very cost effective.” Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
