Greece’s domestic travel fair, Tourism Panorama, runs this year from March 28-31 at the Piraeus Port Authority exhibition center. At a recent press conference, the fair’s organizer, the Kalofolias Group, said even though we are experiencing difficult times for tourism, the interest by tourism enterprises in this year’s fair surpasses every other and is above our initial expectations.

The honored destination at this year’s Panorama is the Ionian Islands and organizers say we will see very impressive participation from the area. Also impressive this year will be the participation of foreign tourism organizations and enterprises from countries like Turkey, Serbia, South Africa, Malta, Hungary and the Ukraine, said the organizer.

And as in past years, the fair will organize a number of side events that include tourism industry seminars for the professionals in the sector, and the annual presentation of domestic tourism study carried out by Kapa Research for the magazine Tourism and Economy, which is a publication of the Kalofolias group.
