As of this month, the Greek ferry line is at the forefront with three brand new ships on the Cycladic Islands’ routes, the Blue Star 1 in the Dodecanese on the Piraeus-Rodos route and its Blue Star 2 on the new, fast daily connection between Piraeus and Chania, Crete. Separately, Strintzis., in which Attica Enterprises holds a controlling stake of 48.6%, reported earnings before interest, tax and depreciation of 23.6 million euros (an increase of 3.6%) and turnover of 119.1 million euros (an increase of 10.6%) for the period to 31st December, 2002. Net profit for the Strintzis Group stood at 4.1 million euros, an increase of 3.3% over the previous year.
