Vangelis Katsifos, manager of the new office, says his main concern is to supply high quality services to Amphitrion customers, keeping in mind the diversity of the island and of its visitors. The new office will concentrate on hotel bookings, air and coastal shipping bookings and special services to cruise ship passengers and conference delegates. Santorini follows a similar launch of an office on Mykonos, which has just completed its first year of operation. So far, says a company spokesperson, the office has provided assistance to more than 5,000 clients in booking rooms, supplying cruise ship services and in arranging tours. As well, many of the more than 10,000 visitors to the office arrived to confirm or gather additional information after booking travel services from Amphitrion’s head office in Athens. The Amphitrion group, with central offices in the downtown Athens area, has branches in Piraeus, Athens International Airport, Syntagma Square, Chalkida, Rodos, Crete, Mykonos and Santorini, as well as offices abroad in Tokyo, Washington and Toronto.
