Global distribution system Sabre Holdings recently separated its business activities so as each department can serve precise fields in the tourism chain. The company said it made this categorization in order to achieve better transparency in its corporation structure and at the same time more flexibility in the activities of its equivalent departments. The following four independent departments of business activity were created relative to the new strategy:

Sabre Travel Network (www.sabretravelnetwork.com), which is the technological development in the sector of Global Distribution System (GDS). Sabre Airline Solutions (www.sabreairlinesolutions.com), which provides special distribution, control and management of arrival-departures solutions and consultation services.

The website Travelocity.com (www.travelocity.com), a popular tourist service in the Internet, which operates in 5 languages.

The website GetThere (www.getthere.com), is the biggest reservations systems operator via the Internet for business organizations’ business travelers. Here, companies can offer their employees a flexible way of planning their business trips through their own corporate network (intranet).
