For once, Greece is grabbing every opportunity to promote itself as a tourism destination. Last month, Aristides Kalogeropoulos, president of the Hellenic Tourism Organization, held a press conference to announce the organization’s close cooperation with Eurovision star Elena Paparizou who will once more represent Greece this year at the Eurovision song contest. Mr. Kalogeropoulos said that the organization’s common corroboration with the Hellenic Radio and Television (ERT) in supporting Ms Paparizou will give Greece the opportunity to promote its many positive points as a tourism destination. Ms Paparizou will join with the organization on a 21 European-city tour for the best possible promotion of Greece and of the participation of Greece in the popular Eurovision song festival. Ms Paparizou said that she was proud to be able to help promote her country. “Greece is a country with unbelievable beauty and an unending history, and I consider it’s my duty to do whatever I can to help its development and, of course, the promotion of Greece, because Greece is a country where you can live your myth.” Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
