Aktina and Horizon Join Forces

Two of the country’s major tourism offices, Aktina and Horizon, joined forces last month and will begin their cooperation as of July 1 under the name Aktina-Horizon S.A. This follows the merger announcement earlier this year of Aktina Travel with Marine Tours, where the two companies merged their consolidation departments and formed a new company called Aktina-Marine AE.

The initial agreement concerns airline ticketing. The new company, with initial capital of 250,000 euros, will operate out of the Horizon-owned office in Kalithea. Aktina’s Glyfatha office will be cut down in size and much of its activity will move to the new Kalithea office.

No reduction in employees from either company is expected.

The aim of the new company, according to Horizon’s Aristeidis Tsaldaris, is to concentrate on business accounts (air tickets, incentives, organized meetings, etc.). Annual revenue for the new company is expected to float in the 15 million to 18 million euro range.
