Last month Athens was the venue for the semi-annual meeting of executives and country representatives of Best Western International. The last time such a meeting was held in Greece was in 2001 (Crete). During the meet, Carol Marriott, president and managing director of Best Western Greece signed a new 10-year representation agreement with Best Western International’s president, David Kong. On hand were some 80 Best Western presidents and managing directors from all the countries within the international hotel chain. Presently, the chain includes 4,122 independent hotel owners with 309,869 rooms within 79 countries and regions. Of these, 1,230 hotels units, independently owned, with a total of 80,125 rooms are located in Europe. Best Western Greece, under the capable management of Carol Marriott, was founded more than 15 years ago to cover representation, and carry out quality checks as prescribed by Best Western, in Greece.
