Company updates Amadeus Strengthens Its E-commerce Products by GTP editing team 1 July 2005 written by GTP editing team 1 July 2005 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 5 Strengthening their partnership, TravelCLICK recently announced an agreement to provide Amadeus with the ability to offer preferred placement to its hotel clients. The solution is called Amadeus Instant Preference. According to TravelCLICK, provider of e-commerce solutions for hotels, the solution will guarantee subscribing hotels prime position towards the top of the display of the travel distribution system. Taking a cue from research findings that majority of hotel bookings are made from the top one-third of screen displays, a tool, like Amadeus Instant Preference, ensures that hotels are displayed towards the top of the display can increase GDS bookings for that hotel by up to three times. Amadeus Instant Preference offers hotels six-month or annual participation options and is available for purchase through TravelCLICK, which also owns the iHotelier booking engine platform and website marketing programs, which enable hotels to better execute strategies that increase business into their own websites. Amadeus said that Amadeus Instant Preference allows its hotel providers to market their properties directly to Amadeus’ 347,000 points of sale around the world. Meanwhile, Amadeus has announced a contract to provide Amadeus Revenue Integrity to Bangkok Airways. The airline is the first in Asia to sign up for revenue integrity technology from Amadeus, which will reduce by a third the number of reservations not resulting in a paying customer (no-shows). The program achieves this by enforcing limits on how long a reservation can remain without a ticket being issued (and paid for), and searching for duplicate PNRs.
