Royal Jordanian reached new highs in July 2005 by transporting 186,300 passengers, marking a 3.8 per cent increase over the same period of 2004.

Vice President/Commercial Hussein Dabbas said that due to the increase in the number of passengers, the seat factor rate during July of this and last year rose to 81.6 per cent from 77.8 per cent.

He said that the airline’s July performance represents a record in RJ’s history.

Mr. Dabbas also noted that the company’s overall performance had improved significantly under the airline’s mission to improve and upgrade its air and ground services.

Moreover, Royal Jordanian registered a 4.2 per cent growth rate in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period of last year.

Around 984,000 passengers flew aboard Royal Jordanian between January and July 2005, according to Mr.Dabbas.

“Primary figures for the month of August show great demand for seats aboard RJ flights. Royal Jordanian is likely to carry around 192,000 passengers this month,” he said.

He stressed that all RJ employees are working round-the-clock at all stations worldwide in order to offer the best service and deal with the busy travel season.
