A Guide for Tourism Trade Fair Exhibitors

The International Tourism Trade Fairs Association recently launched a detailed exhibition guide, entitled ‘Effective Exhibiting Made Easy’ that is aimed at helping exhibitors participate more effectively in tourism trade fairs.

The 60-page booklet contains ten chapters covering a broad selection of topics relevant to the trade fair industry and follows the entire process of exhibiting from setting objectives, to stand construction, to marketing, promotion, and making the most of your business contacts.

Also included in the guide is a comprehensive list of fairs worldwide as well as details on the association’s media partners.

The association says it produced the booklet in order to provide guidance to travel organizations that are new to the exhibition scene and also the more experienced travel organizations that want to maximize exhibition results.

Tourism exhibitions, it says, provide the ideal platform where even the smallest company can participate on the same level with the largest multi-national. “No other form of marketing, sales or promotion offers the unique opportunity for suppliers to meet their buyers face-to-face under one roof.”

With a bit of thought and planning, exhibitors can vastly increase the effectiveness of their presence at tourism exhibitions that will allow them to break into new markets, meet new contacts or develop new business, says the association.

The guide is endorsed by the World Tourism Organization, which also seeks to encourage the growth and professionalism of tourism fairs.

For a copy of the Effective Exhibiting Made Easy, contact the ITTFA Secretariat via www.ettfa.org. Alternatively, copies of the booklet will be available on the ITTFA stand at member shows.
