China is becoming the world’s largest outbound market with departures of 28.5 million in 2004 and an increase of 9.6%, taking the number up to 15 million, for the first half of 2005.  Tourism bodies are keenly monitoring the Chinese outbound market, which is estimated to explode to no less than 100 million travelers by 2020, and with each traveler spending $175 per day.

As more countries and regions have become ADS-approved and visa restrictions are becoming more relaxed, the number of outbound trips made by mainland Chinese for private purposes is growing steadily.

With the above in mind, proactive travel brands and products are making sure they capture their share of this highly lucrative market by securing their participation at the Beijing Travel and Tourism Market 2006, to be held 3-5 April.

BITTM is strictly a 100% outbound, 100% business-to-business event where sellers of travel products can meet one-on-one with qualified Chinese outbound buyers of travel.
