The third cycle of financial support for small and mid-sized businesses in the manufacturing and tourism sector gets underway this month. The appropriate papers have been signed by the ministries of economy and tourism, and details have been published in the Government Gazette. The subsidies are part of the Regional Businesses Program.

Proposals from companies meeting specific requirements will be accepted from March 15 to June 15. Total public financing for the program amounts to 210 million euro, of that sum 71 million is slated for tourism and 139 million for manufacturing businesses.

Financial support for the tourism businesses is intended to strengthen their competitiveness. A second round of proposals may be accepted once the evaluation and contracting process for the first has been completed. Information on the program can be found in the Government Gazette and local banks.
