In the new timetable, AIA’s top international routes are Larnaca and London with 73 and 65 scheduled weekly frequencies respectively, followed by Paris, Rome, Milan, and Munich, with 51, 49, and 45 weekly flights each. The top domestic routes are Thessaloniki with 139 and Heraklion with 91 weekly frequencies, followed by Rodos, Chania, and Santorini, with 70, 57, and 54 weekly frequencies, respectively. In addition to the carriers already operating scheduled services, Athens International Airport welcomes two new airlines: Blue1 / a SAS Scandinavian Airlines subsidiary (Helsinki) and Pakistan International Airlines (which relaunches flights from Athens to Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore). Also, Air Transat (charter operator until last year) as of May will operate scheduled flights to Canada (Montreal – Toronto). Moreover, the following airlines have included new destinations in their spring-scheduled services: Aegean Airlines (Sofia), easyJet (Milan), Malev (Dublin & Helsinki), SAS Scandinavian Airlines (Oslo) and Sterling European Airlines (Stockholm).
