Bob Dickinson, president of Carnival Cruises, said that for this new ship the company “combined two fantastic itineraries that include new destinations for Carnival – the Greek islands and Turkey – and a selection of wonderful European harbors, which gives our customers the opportunity to learn about the various cultures, history and cuisine.” The new itineraries, available from March through October 2007, include ten 12-day “Mediterranean and Greek islands” cruises and nine 12-day “Greater Mediterranean” cruises. All the cruises will embark from Rome. “These new itineraries also represent the continued development of the “Fun Ship” as a unique vacation experience,” added Mr. Dickinson. Carnival Freedom will feature a 4,000-square-meter spa, four swimming pools — one with a 70-meter slide, numerous restaurants options, golf program, children’s entertainment, duty-free shopping and conference room. Carnival Cruises’ exclusive representative for Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon is Amphitrion Air Services, a company in the Amphitrion Holidays group founded in 1974.
