Grecotel Olympia Riviera Resort has brought sand sculpting to Greece for the first time this summerGrecotel Olympia Riviera Resort has brought sand sculpting to Greece for the first time this summer. The resort located in Killini, on the west coast of Peloponnisos has invited artists from the World Sand Sculpture Academy (WSSA) in Holland to create sculptures and provide workshops for hotel guests.

The visiting artists have already made five sculptures inspired by Greek mythology with the theme being the “Labors of Hercules.” Under normal weather conditions, these three-meter-tall sand sculptures will remain in good condition until the end of this month.

Grecotel management says it plans to make this seaside activity an annual summer event.

The Olympia Riviera Resort is a premiere spa resort located on the coast that extends over a beautiful green expanse of 1,900 stremmata.

Four hotels make up the resort with a combined capacity of 1,500 beds, including the Mandola Rosa Suites & Villas (member of the Leading Small Hotels of the World), the Olympia Riviera Thalasso, Olympia Oasis and the Ilia Palms. The resort is known for its Elixir Thalassotherapy Center where guests can enjoy a full range of spa treatments at the specially-fitted pool, as well as massage and steam rooms, and saunas.
