The association finds that Greek consumers are relying more and more on travel agencies to help them find the best solution for their holiday. At the same time, agencies have continued to enrich their travel packages and programs. They can usually secure quality services at reasonable prices, not only for travel within Greece but abroad as well. According to the association, hotel prices have risen moderately in comparison with last year, on average within the range of three to five percent. Ferry tickets prices are fluctuating and vary by destination, while airline tickets have generally remain unchanged though the added fuel charges have increased. The cost of services, not included in package tours, has risen sharply and the association suggests that consumers choose carefully when seeking entertainment and shopping.
