This articulation agreement initially guarantees the mutual recognition of all undergraduate courses and programs offered by the two institutions and the unconditional transfer of credits and students from one institution to the other. At a later stage, the agreement will allow for accreditation of Trinity by TRU so that students completing their studies at Trinity can earn a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Hospitality Management from TRU. The agreement was signed by Dr. Stergios L. Mourgos, Trinity’s vice-president and chief academic officer, and Cindy McLeod, TRU’s vice-president and head of the delegation that visited Trinity for a three-day work session on Crete. Dr. Mourgos commented that the agreement with TRU “adds another link in the chain of Trinity’s cooperation with international academic institutions. It opens new horizons and provides great opportunities for our students to gain invaluable academic experiences from internationally-recognized institutions of higher learning, and to also acquire degrees from those institutions.” Mrs. McLeod said, “TRU is fortunate to have found such an excellent educational partner in Greece. The combination of our program strengths, our worldwide networks and innovative approaches to provide leading edge curriculum and practical experience will lead to the graduation of the tourism professional that the industry is seeking worldwide.” Trinity is an English-language institution for International Tourism and Hospitality studies, housed in a five-star hotel and conference center in Hersonissos, Crete. Trinity’s programs offer guaranteed employment for its graduates and great opportunities for international careers in tourism and hospitality management. Beginning in the fall 2007, Trinity, in cooperation with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), will offer a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Hospitality Administration, which will be signed by SNHU.
