This ship, inaugurated in 2000, has a capacity for 1,950 guests. Mirtha Argyris, cruise department manager for Navigator Travel, the exclusive representative for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises in Greece, explained that Celebrity Cruises, a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean, has the highest rated ships in the world as well as the highest guest to staff ratio with one staff member for every two guests. Celebrity Cruises is known for its excellent guest service. Upon embarkation guests are welcomed with champagne and orange juice, and complementary room service is available 24 hours a day. Guests have many options for dining, entertainment, fitness and relaxation aboard. Master Chef Michel Roux has created the menus and wine lists for the cruises. Dining options range from casual at the outdoor grill or sushi cafe to the atmospheric RMS Olympic Restaurant, which is decorated in the grand old style of transatlantic cruising, with table-top service and a dine-in wine cellar. Entertainment choices include the Celebrity Theater with its world-class productions, or Michael’s Club with music played on a baby grand piano, or the sophisticated Martini Bar. Relaxation is the focus of the ship’s world-class AquaSpa by Elemis. The spa offers a host of exotic treatments such as the Etruscan chamber for a seaweed and mud bath, Egyptian ceremony of milk and ginger, the Asian ceremony of stone, acupuncture and thalasso-therapy. High above the sea, the Conservatory is a garden featuring the exclusive collection of world-renowned floral designer, Emilio Robba. Celebrity’s penthouse suites are among the largest and most luxurious with baby grand pianos, personal fitness equipment, garden terraces, teak furniture, wet bars and panoramic, wrap-around verandas. Guests in every Celebrity suite receive special amenities, including welcome champagne, in-suite tea service, evening hors d’oeuvres, priority embarkation and disembarkation and professional butler service.
