It is a fact that today competition in tourism must be centered on quality and not cost and what we mean by quality is not only those elements an accommodation can offer, but also the quality of the destination that contributes significantly to our being able to stimulate the tourists’ interest. Our approach must ensure that every region’s tradition and hospitality is combined with recreation and history. All the elements above can contribute significantly to the achievement of every region’s goals, and naturally in association with each region’s unique qualities. For this to occur, however, the tourist will have to be convinced, with the collaboration of the state and tourism authorities, that his stay at the smaller tourist accommodations will ensure him holidays with all the conditions described above, for the simple reason that the widely distributed accommodations throughout our country are indissolubly tied to their local communities. Our accommodations guarantee more humane and relaxing holidays, while letting the tourist take away experiences that fill his soul and spirit.
