Hospitality Hotel and Technical Chambers Sign Memorandum by GTP editing team 1 December 2006 written by GTP editing team 1 December 2006 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 9 Hellenic Hotel Chamber President Gerasimos Fokas and Technical Chamber of Greece President Yiannis Alavanos signed a memorandum of agreement on seven critical issues that concern both the hotel and technical sector. The two chambers agreed to jointly take action on several determining factors concerning the design and operation of hotel enterprises, such as land-use and urban planning, particularly private land-use planning and holiday residences. They also want to work to resolve urban planning issues that are pending for hotels, to use urban-planning incentives to encourage hotels to modernize their product. Environmental protection is also a key issue in the memorandum are concern for the environment from getting environmental permits for existing hotels and for new hotels and facilities and the length of time environmental terms are in force, pollution and the environment of tourism investments and developments.
