The conclusion of the essay was that Greece is the most dangerous country for vacations with reference to statistics collected on the number of arrests, hospital admittance of British tourists and incidents of rape. The aim and scope of the essay was an initiative by the British foreign office targeted to British tourists so as to avoid the problems they face abroad when on vacation. Further to the report the British Embassy in Athens asserted that there is an excellent level of cooperation by the Greek authorities in so far as British tourism in Greece is concerned. It stipulates that the British foreign office essay underlines the need for continued and added cooperation with tourism authorities throughout the world with the aim to reduce commonly faced problems.
