World Travel Trends 2007 for WTM by Euromonitor

World Travel Market 2006, ExCel, London attracted 46,945 travel industry professionals.

World Travel Market is a four-day travel industry event (November 12-15, London) that brings together worldwide buyers and sellers from every sector of the industry. A record breaking 46,945 travel industry professionals participated at WTM 2006 representing 202 countries and regions.

WTM, this year, cooperates with Euromonitor, a leading independent provider of business intelligence on industries, countries and consumers, in order to create an essay that outlines the latest travel trends, and will be presented at the event next month.

The essay covers trends in travel and tourism for the United Kingdom and Ireland, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.

According to Fiona Jeffery, chairman of world travel market, “travel and tourism are the basic fields that Euromonitor and WTM will inform members of the tourism industry on the latest trends and developments.”

She explained that the aim of the essay is “to help tourism industries and organizations to create a strategy, but also a scope for investment, and to encourage them to take action in the right direction insofar as future development in concerned.”

Thalia Pellegrini, a British television presenter of BBC World, will undertake the presentation of the essay at the exhibition.
