Qatar Airways Rewards Travel Agents

Qatar Airways recently held an event for its annual “Travel Agents Awards,” attended by some one hundred members of the travel and tourism sector. The awards covered the most significant areas of Qatar Airway’s activity.

These are incentive travel, business travel in the nautical sector, recreational travel and special interest travel, which were received by Travel Plan, Griffin Travel, Versus Travel and Aktina Travel respectively. The award ceremony began with an overview of the most important events that marked the airline’s progress in 2006-2007, amongst these being the order of some 140 new aircraft to support the increasing routes and the addition of 11 new destinations. Qatar Airways Area Manager in Greece Morena Bronzetti used the event as an opportunity to announce the airline’s plans for 2008, which include new routes from Greece to popular destinations such as Pecking, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Bali.
