Erytha Hotel & Resort on the island of Chios recently announced an innovation in its facilities as it is the first hotel in Greece to offer its guests the option of an acoustic tour of the island’s key sites. When the resort opens this month guests may obtain the card-voucher with which they can use the “Chios echo” acoustic guide and receive digital information on key sites and points of interest.

With the use of a simple keypad and an accompanying map the visitor receives a guided tour—in Greek, English and German—of the medieval villages of Mestos and Anavatou, Chios Castle, the traditional settlement of Volissou, the archeological site of Emborios, the historic town center and Nea Moni of Chios that is an UNESCO world heritage site. At Chios Castle and the historic town center, Chios echo is available in Greek, English and Turkish.

This service is an independent collaboration  between Erytha Hotel & Resort and Aegean Echo, a new company active in the field of tourism and communications and the service provider for this initiative.

Erytha Hotel Resort opens annually from Greek Easter until the end of October.
