The Civil Aviation Authority recently launched free wireless broadband Internet access points at several airports throughout Greece with the slogan “take off…on the internet.” Passengers at Rodos Island International Airport “Diagoras” and Chios Island National Airport “Omiros” already have wireless Internet access and Thessaloniki International Airport “Makedonia,” Corfu International Airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias,” Heraklion International Airport “Nikos Kazantzakis” and Kos Island International Airport “Ippokratis” are currently in this process so as to be connected during the peak summer period.

Passengers at these airports have access to e-mail and web browsing services at Access Points with a speed of 54 Mbps and each access point can service up to 200 users.
