Astir Beach Open Again to Public

Astir Beach, Vouliagmeni, reopened last month after an extensive refurbishment process that began in October 2007 and cost some seven million euros. The realization of this investment was based on Astir Palace management’s vision that Astir beach becomes an all-year-round destination.

The refurbishment of the beach was realized in cooperation with Zeppos-Georgiades architectural firm. The project was constructed by J&P ΑVAX with internal layouts and restructuring of the site with the primary aim being the conservation of the area’s natural beauty.

Beyond the comfortable infrastructure, the management of Astir Beach has ensured a variety of facilities for a holistic experience that includes water sports, shops, restaurants (TGI Fridays), cafes (Starbucks) and a beach bar. The management would also retain a strict 1,000-visitor capacity for safety reasons but also to ensure a high quality in service. Tickets for the beach can be pre-booked on www.astir-beach.com and loyal customers are rewarded through the various membership card schemes. Astir Beach is open daily during the summer season from 08:00 to 21:00 and in the winter period from 09:00 to 17:00.
