The group aims to co-produce electricity with the aid of natural gases and with a special procedure of frost absorption. The chain’s green policy also foresees an extension of its recycling policy. In addition to the recycling bins at waste collection points, all the hotels would be equipped with special three-way recycling bins for paper, glass and plastic in all the hotel’s communal areas and eventually in every single room. According to the group, its green initiatives aim for “true respect for the environment whilst targeting hotel guest’s environmental conscience.” N. Daskalantonakis Group is the largest hotel company in Greece with 16 city hotels (Classical Hotels) and 20 resorts including Grecotel, owned jointly with TUI Hotels & Resort Division.
